This Privacy Policy explains how Laundry Guy Africa ("Laundry Guy", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). It applies whether you use Laundry Guy as a customer, as a rider or delivery partner, or in another role we support.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile and account information
- Pickup and delivery addresses and location details you choose to share (for example when placing orders or arranging service)
- Order details, preferences, and special instructions
- Messages or support inquiries (including in-app chat, where available)
b. Order, payment, and transaction data
- Laundry order history, status, and related records
- Payment confirmations and transaction references
For payments you make as a customer, payments are processed via Paystack. We do not collect or store your card or bank details for those transactions on our own systems. Payment providers may collect and process your financial information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Where you receive payouts as a rider or delivery partner, bank or payout details you provide may be processed through us or our payment partners to settle earnings, as described in the rider section below.

- Device type, operating system, and app version
- Usage and diagnostic data to improve reliability and performance
- Cookies and similar technologies when you use our web properties
d. Rider and delivery partner information (where applicable)
If you register as a rider or delivery partner, we may collect additional information such as:
- Government-issued identification or verification documents
- Vehicle or transportation details
- Bank or payout information
- Real-time and background location data while fulfilling deliveries
- Availability and delivery activity information
3. How we use your information
We use your data to:
- Provide, schedule, and fulfil laundry pickup and delivery services
- Create and manage your account
- Process payments and send related notices
- Communicate with you about orders, updates, and support
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Improve the app, features, and user experience
- Monitor delivery progress and improve dispatch operations
- Enable real-time order tracking for customers
- Process rider payouts and delivery performance records

Depending on your location, we may rely on one or more of the following: consent, performance of a contract (providing the Service), legal obligation, or legitimate interests (for example, fraud prevention, security, and improving our services), in line with applicable laws such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act and, where relevant, other local data-protection requirements.
5. Sharing of information
We may share your data with:
- Payment processors and financial partners
- Service providers who help us operate the platform (for example hosting, analytics, notifications, and customer support tools)
- Riders, delivery partners, or agents involved in fulfilling orders, to the extent needed to complete the service (including limited location or status information for tracking where enabled)
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Data retention
- Account and profile data: while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards if needed to resolve disputes or meet legal duties
- Order, delivery, and transaction records: as long as needed for operations, accounting, tax, and audit requirements (which may be several years, depending on jurisdiction). This may include customer orders and rider delivery or payout history where we must retain business or financial records
- Rider verification or onboarding records: as required for compliance, safety, or dispute resolution
- Support inquiries: typically up to 12 months unless a longer period is needed
We may retain certain information longer if required by law or for legitimate legal claims.
7. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Cookies and tracking
We may use essential, performance, and functionality cookies or similar technologies on our websites and web experiences. You can control cookies through your browser settings where supported.
9. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Location data
Location data may be collected in the background while riders are actively using delivery features to support order tracking and dispatch functionality. Foreground location may be used when the app is open to show your position on a map, assign jobs, or confirm pickup and delivery. Customers may see limited location or status information about their order when tracking is enabled. You can control location permissions in your device settings; disabling location may limit rider or delivery features that depend on it. Your app store listing and in-app disclosures should explain why location (including background location, if used) is required.
11. International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
12. Children
The Service is not directed at children under the age required by local law to consent to data processing without parental permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app and/or on our website and revise the "Last updated" date above.
